Acoustic Fence

Compact has been an industry leader in the design and installation of all types of fence and masonry since 1967. In the late 1970’s specification guidelines introduced by the ministry of the environment (M.O.E) set a requirement of a maximum allowable sound level in the rear yards of houses bringing forth the evolution of the acoustic fence. As the fence industry evolved and the demand for cost effective noise attenuation increased there were many new design challenges to overcome – wind loads, geotechnical inspection and requirements, structural reinforcements, stronger concrete requirements as well as individual municipal standards. In conjunction with land developers, builders, landscape architects, civil engineers, regions and municipalities; Compact introduced and continued to innovate their product and specifications to lower costs, increase aesthetics, and long term durability that still exist and are evolving today.
